A roleplaying game by Adam Taylor
PEACEKEEPERS
Crime fighting capers in a fantasy city
A fiction-first tabletop RPG of unlikely detectives, strange suspects and plans that probably should have stayed on the drawing board.
One GM · 2–6 players · A complete game
Keep your wits. Keep the peace.
A dragon has a legal objection. The wizards have a perfectly reasonable explanation. And you have a city to look after. Welcome to Arcanopolis: a place where a sharp question, an unlikely ally and a truly questionable plan can get you further than a drawn sword.
Your kind of detective
Choose your background and role, add a peculiar possession, and make a Peacekeeper who could only belong to you.
Your way through the case
Follow the leads that interest you. Talk, sneak, improvise and investigate: the story responds to your ideas.
Your next great disaster
Gather dice from the skills and items that fit your plan. Then deal with the successes and complications that follow.

Welcome to Arcanopolis
A city worth getting into trouble for.
Eccentric. Magical. Almost under control.
Arcanopolis is a bustling fantasy city where magic colleges bicker, unusual neighbours rub shoulders and someone always needs your help. Its streets are full of people, places and problems to borrow - with plenty of room for the discoveries your group makes along the way.

An unlikely team
Meet your new commanding officer.
The city needs good people. You will have to do.
Twoldfer Thischitt is an ogre, a former berserker and the person trusting you to keep a lid on all this. Build your own equally memorable Peacekeeper from eight backgrounds and eight roles: perhaps a necromancer pathologist, an animal handler or a rookie with something to prove.

Fiction comes first
Clever plans. Delightful complications.
The rules keep the story moving.
Tell the table what you want to do. Pick the attribute that suits your approach, then gather dice from the relevant skills and items on your sheet. Each success helps you get there; each 1 brings a complication. You might crack the case and create an entirely new problem in the same roll.
Does it require another game system?
No. Peacekeepers is a complete roleplaying game with its own rules. Bring one GM, 2–6 players, character sheets and polyhedral dice.
Is it all about fighting?
Investigation, conversation and creative problem-solving are at the heart of play. When things become dangerous, the same flexible rules handle the action.
How do characters work?
Combine a background and role for a quick start, or use the custom character-creation options. Your attributes, skills and belongings give you different ways to approach a problem.
For the person behind the screen
Less preparation. More investigation.
Start with a crime, a few key characters and events that will unfold if nobody intervenes. Give your players room to follow their instincts while the case develops around them. Peacekeepers helps you keep clues and consequences moving, without mapping every possible route in advance.
Three cases to get you started
Investigate The Platinum Paladin, unravel Elementary, or answer the call in The Bank Job.
One night or a whole series
Play a self-contained case, then return to familiar streets and recurring characters in an episodic campaign.
A roster that fits real life
Someone can't make the session? They are off duty. Keep the investigation going with the Peacekeepers on tonight’s shift.

The courtroom expansion
Flaw and Disorder
You caught them. Now prove it.
The arrest was only the beginning. Take the next step from street investigation to courtroom drama with the Peacekeepers expansion. Question witnesses, weigh the evidence and argue your case against a defence that may literally breathe fire.
A quick verdict or a full courtroom episode
Wrap up an investigation with a short trial, or make the courtroom the centre of the session with testimony, flashbacks and new evidence.
More ways to play in Arcanopolis
Add a prosecutor role, legal characters and locations, plus the included investigation Smash and Blab.
